We survived two recent hurricanes which hit the West Coast of Florida. The second one did cross our State just a bit North of Jupiter. WE saw very little rain and wind gust to 50 mph. Overall it was an event that could have been worse. What we haven't seen in the past is the sheer number of tornadoes that hit Avenir and headed Northeast going through Jupiter Farms, Stuart and Ft. Pierce. There were literally hundreds of them with various strengths and overall damage was limited to small areas but the damage was crazy. Along the coast where the Jupiter oceanfront condos are we saw very little damage which is usually where we see the most damage  from hurricanes.

Jupiter Homes & Condos

Below you will find year over year Jupiter Home and condo sales as well as the beach area 33477 zip code. You will notice a very different market for single family homes versus condos. The only place where they both have similar trends is in the sales price where homes were up 8.8% and condos were up 33%. Otherwise they are tracking in opposite directions. Single family homes are selling quicker with less inventory options available. Time to contract are exactly inverse with homes and condos. Condos are showing a huge increase in inventory, up 48%, new listings are up 26% and pending sales down 20%.

Florida is quite popular and many people are moving here full time. As full time residents many buyers may be bringing their pets and finding dog friendly beaches can be a challenge. Sure you may find a dog park just about anywhere in the country but a dog beach is difficult to find. Here in Palm Beach County we do have a few pet friendly beaches which are popular attractions for the dog owner. We have some very nice pet friendly condos in Jupiter that are walking distance to the beach that allow large dogs. A few are Sea Colony and Jupiter I. Both minutes to the beach.

Today was the first day out this week in my search for homes for sale in Jupiter Florida. Not a very exciting day of looking at properties for sale in Jupiter Florida. 

The inventory choices have vastly improved as far as number of homes for sale but the quality of what I saw was disappointing. No matter what property I saw I just started calculating the money I would invest to make it suitable to my taste. The biggest caveat I saw were how many old windows are in the places I showed today. First thing that needs replacing is the old windows that don't stay open and are quite flimsy compared to newer hurricane windows.

The annual Holiday Boat Parade is this Saturday in Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens. The parade beginns South of PGA Blvd and heads North to the Jupiter Inlet area near the waterfront restaurants of U Tiki and Jetty's. Unless you own a Jupiter waterfront condo on the Intracoastal you may want to get to some of the local waterfront restaurants to view the annual event. The Jupiter Yacht Club and the Jupiter Riverwalk are great places to view the boat parade. The condos in the Jupiter Yacht Club will give you a view all along the Intracoastal as you watch this event. Everyone wants a waterfront condo in Jupiter or whatever town they are looking to move to. Waterfront properties are in high demand and will continue for the next decade or so. Here some of the best Jupiter waterfront condos have climbed drastically in price. Jupiter Yacht Club condos are up 30-40% since the low of 2010. The least expensive condo is listed at $949,000 with no water view. In the dismal days that same condo sold for $600,000. The different condo communities rise and fall at various times. Jupiter Ocean Grande is up but not near what JYC has gone up. Jupiter Ocean Grande seems to be stagnant as many of the condos need some updating.
